Learn how Paris Christou designs the "MACHO and OVERWEIGHT MALE CHARACTERS!" in this 9 Hour Mega Course of pure video footage and commentary.
In this course you will understand how to take basic shapes to create the heads and the bodies for both the Macho and the Overweight characters. Establishing a strong library of features to help you create tons of faces. Paris teaches you which elements to exaggerate to give the impression of a Macho and Overweight character. In this course Paris designs 4 characters of 2 Heroes and 2 Villains were you will learn the techniques on how to pose them in motion and expressions.
It's a 9 Hour Mega Course on pure cartooning.
The software used to demonstrate is Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 6 but you can also follow along with any major artistic software or your traditional pencil and paper.
STAGE 1 : "The Faces " : Total running time : 1 HOUR 30 MINUTES
DESIGNING THE FACES -Creation process of both the Macho and Overweight Characters -Understanding the Head shape and features that are needed to develop a Macho and Overweight Character
STAGE 2 : "The Library " : Total running time : 55 MINUTES
BUILDING A LIBRARY OF FACIAL FEATURES-Create different styles of eyes, eye shapes -Create a library of noses, ears and mouth
STAGE 3 : "Understanding the Bodies" : Total running time : 46 MINUTES
WHICH BODY FEATURES TO EXAGGERATE -Understanding the basic shapes of the body -Understanding the body features
STAGE 4 : "Posing in Motion " : Total running time : 4 HOURS 7 MINUTES
BODY POSING THE CHARACTER -Designing the Macho and Overweight characters bodies -Using an animated approach of action to pose the characters
STAGE 5 : "Expressions" : Total running time : 2 HOURS 14 MINUTES
EXPRESSION IS KEY -Practicing to draw the characters faces -Using a lipsync animation technique to develop the characters expressions
